Who runs the Little Lambs Sale?

The sale is run by Andy and Stacy Taylor and their friend, Nikki Wolfe. Andy and Stacy are native Texans who live in Cape Girardeau with their sons, Jacob and Caleb. Nikki and her husband, Gary, live in Leopold with their children, Kyleigh and Michael. We purchase the sale in the fall of 2005 from Lisa Burns and Joanne Lewis.

Do you have a store somewhere?

No, there is no store, but we love the sale so much that we take vacation time from our "real" jobs twice a year to find some awesome bargains and hang out with our consignors and volunteers.

How much will I earn from the sale of my items?

Consignors earn 2/3 of the selling price of each item. For example, if an item is priced $6, you would earn $4. Under our new volunteer incentive program, volunteers who work more than 4 hours during a single sale are eligible to earn a higher percentage on each item they sell. Check out our volunteer information for more details.

I e-mailed, but didn't get a response. Why?

In the 2 months prior to the sale, we check our e-mail daily and respond to ALL e-mail messages within 24 hours. If you sent an e-mail and did not get a response, your e-mail filter has probably sent our message to your designated spam location. Check your spam folder and your trash bin. You may need to add our e-mail address to your address book or adjust your spam settings to receive mail from us. During the week of the sale (beginning on Sunday), we spend most of our time working at the sale. We do not have internet access there. The best way to contact us is to call 573-651-0861. After checks are mailed, we only check e-mail once a week. If you have a question that requires a quick response, it would be best to call.

Where can I get hangers?

Try: asking friends and family to save hangers for you, garage sales and thrift stores, E-bay or Craig's List, dollar stores usually have bundles for $1, some dry cleaners will sell some to their customers, or an online company called Nu-Era.com that might be an option if you need a lot of hangers. Whatever you do, don't wait until the last minute! Between the last couple of sales, we've purchased hangers from stores that were going out of business, garage sales and thrift stores and have made them available to our consignors. This is NOT a service provided by the sale, but something we try to do to help, but when they are gone, they are gone.

Why no straight pins?

They hurt our workers and shoppers!

Can I use a tagging gun on my clothes?

Yes, you can, but it is not required.

Can I drop items off more than once?

Yes, you can bring as many loads as needed on Saturday and Sunday.

Why can't I bring my children to the preview sale?

It is for their own safety, as well as the enjoyment of other shoppers. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule! We don't even allow our own children in the door on preview night.

Are dressing rooms available?

The Steve and Barry's space has dressing rooms. The dressing rooms will be open during the sale when there are adequate volunteers to "staff" them.

What if I forget to pick my items up?

Any items that are not picked up become property of the sale and are donated immediately to Missouri Mentoring Partnership and will be distributed to other local non-profit agencies who help families and children. Little Lambs does not have the ability to store consigned items after the sale ends. You can contact Charles at 332-0066 ext 114 or charlesd@missourimentoring.com to request a donation receipt for your items.

When will I get my check?

Checks are mailed 3 weeks after the sale. Checks for the fall sale will be mailed on November 15, 2010. Per your consignor agreement, checks should be cashed within 90 days of the date they are written.

Do I get my cards back?

No, we are required to keep the cards for our taxes. However, if you would like to keep an inventory list for your own records, you might consider using TagIt software. For more information, click on the TagIt button on the left, or visit www.tagityourself.com. Also, remember that Little Lambs consignors get a 20% discount on the software when they use discount code LLCMO25.

What is TagIt?

TagIt is a software program that is available at a discount for Little Lambs consignors who want to print their tags from a computer. TagIt is not part of the Little Lambs sale, but worked with us to make sure that your tags printed with TagIt software will be in compliance with our tagging instructions. For more information about TagIt software, go to www.tagityourself.com

What is TagItLite and how is it different than TagIt?

TagItLite is another product offered by tagityourself.com. The two main differences are 1) TagItLite is free to the consignor and 2) TagItLite is time limited. You will only be able to see your item list for a couple of weeks after the sale. If you plan to keep a running inventory list or want to use TagIt for another consignment sale, too, we suggest using TagIt.
